EDMOND, Oklahoma - Newlyweds return from their honeymoon to find that their home had been burglarized.
"We just got married a couple of weeks ago," said Danielle Sager.

If pictures are worth a thousand words then Joey and Danielle Sager hope their wedding photos can talk some sense into a thief.

The Sager's live in a beautiful east Edmond home, and although the neighboring houses are gated the couple did not see a need for it, until now.

"The pearl necklace she wore at our wedding, her grandmother's earrings," said Danielle, describing the mementos stolen from the home on the last day of their honeymoon.

"Even if you get another pearl necklace like the one she wore in her wedding, it's still not the one she wore in her wedding and that's especially hard for her," said Joey.

The Sager's remain hopeful for a chance to have the family heirlooms returned. After all, more than one camera caught a glimpse of the jewelry. The surveillance cameras outside the Sager's home show a man pull up to the front door. When no one answers, he casually walks to back of the house and breaks out glass door to get inside.

With the alarm system sounding the thief grabs a jewelry box and then hurries back to his car.

"By the time police got there he had already made off with my wife's jewelry," said Joey.

Since then he says they've made upgrades to the security system at their home by placing extra cameras on the property. Now the newlyweds are making another vow to capture more than video of the thief.

"We would really like to catch this guy."

If you recognize the man in the surveillance footage call Edmond Police at (405) 359-4466
